Mid-September 2012 (20)
Some Barge en Route to North America

It took me another full day and night of rest to recover enough to be able to walk again, but it was clumsy and I limped a lot. I could feel my super-strength returning slowly. That kind of power surging in your body you can just feel resonate, you know? But my super speed was still lagging a bit behind. I eventually made my way carefully back to civilization making sure not to be detected by the authorities that would be after me. I found a harbor near the city of Saint Malo on the northern coast of France and stowed away on it in a fairly empty crate. I stayed on that boat waiting for it to reach land again for a little over a week. Without food or water, I was getting weaker rather than stronger.

Miami, Florida

Once back on solid ground I stumbled past the harbor workers who were just as confused to see me as I felt being blinded by the bright sunlight. I was sweating a lot as I limped down the ramp to the dock. I don't remember much from that experience, but I do remember hearing whispers of people asking what I was or where I came from. There was a commotion and my head was pounding.

"Stop…" Stumbled out of my mouth in less than a whisper. "…oh…my head…" the world spun around me and the bright sunlight began to brighten to hot white. Everything became white. Even the sounds and smells that just a second ago overwhelmed me faded into white.

The next time I awoke I was in a hospital bed that was dipping under my massive weight. A quick look around and I noticed that I had a bandage wrapped around my head and an IV dripping its life-renewing fluid into my system.

"Where am I? And why do I keep waking up in hospitals?!" I asked myself out loud. Suddenly I fell quiet and listened to the voices bickering outside my room. It was a nurse on a telephone it seemed. I couldn't make out every word she was saying, but from what I could gather she was alerting higher-uppers of my arrival here. I knew I couldn't trust hospitals. I had to get out. Whoever she was contacting, whether it was the chief of medicine or local authority, I was sure the news of my location would eventually make its way to the FBI or CIA eventually. Something I couldn't afford right now in my poor condition.

Thankfully, I had enough strength in me to get up out of bed, grab my stuff and clumsily leap out the window. I limped away from the hospital as fast as I could and found a secluded marsh where I could gather my thoughts. By now, thanks to the accelerated healing brought on by the IV drip, I had my former strength and most of my super speed back but I was still too exhausted to use any of it.

"Mark…Mark it's me…are you there?" I asked speaking into the communicator.

"Gamila? Gamila, where are you?!" he pleaded.

"Oh, Mark, thank God. I'm in some marsh in where I think is Florida. I'm ok now though."

"Oh, Gamila! I was so worried about you. I tried contacting you several times last week but I kept getting static radio feedback in return." He explained calming down a little.

"Yea, that would make sense. I was hiding in a barge. I guess their crates block radio signals."

"Well I'd appreciate if you told me you were gonna do that next time." He said laughing an airy laugh.

"Heh, sorry baby. I promise I won't worry you so much next time."  I guess it was inconsiderate of me to not tell him what I was doing. He is after all my eyes and ears in this mission. I wouldn't be able to do it without him!

"Speaking of which, I have some good news for you. Remember that search algorithm I started last week? Well it finally found something in the CIA database. The CIA sent a search party to the heart of South America. Ecuador to be exact."

"Ecuador?"

"Yup. They're looking for El Dorado."

"The lost city of gold?" I asked confused. "But I thought that was a legend."

"Now, Gamila, you mean to tell me that after everything you've been through, you've chosen this to consider the validity of?" he said with a laugh.

"Touche. Hah, so why a search party? Why not just send one infiltrator to retrieve the skull?"

"That's the tricky part. It turns out they haven't found El Dorado and have to look for it. Hence the search party." Mark explained.

"Bummer."

"There's still hope for us though. I did some of my own research and came across some intel that so far seems that the CIA doesn't have yet. Apparently the road to El Dorado is guarded by a map. A map that's been split into four pieces and spread across central America."

"Are you kidding me?!" I complained. "These freaking things better be worth it or I'm gonna be one pissed off girl."

"Heh, don't worry, it's not as daunting as it may seem. Just this morning I hacked into the Library of Congress' mainframe and located Christopher Columbus' journal. He was amazingly specific, but it requires some translation. I've already found the hiding spot of the first map fragment, but I'll need time to decipher the rest of the journal."

"Mark, you're absolutely amazing! How could I ever do this without you?"

"Heh, don't mention it Gamila. You're pretty amazing yourself."

Jungles of Mexico

After a day of travelling, I found my way to the first place where Mark told me the map fragment was hidden. The legendary city of Copan had an amazing history all on its own. It has been home to rulers, conquests, famine, coups, and intensive technological gains in a very little amount of time. All this was done in its short 700 year history. The whole city screamed alien intervention.

Despite all that, there were skeptics as to the origins of the city, and the history of it throughout time. At any rate, there were only a handful of major buildings left standing and so finding the map fragment wasn't too hard. Mark urged me to carefully look through the buildings and find a clue to where the map might be, but I wasn't in the mood to be patient.

I ravaged the first building I saw with my super strength, tearing brick from massive 2-ton brick. It took several hours to tear through the first few buildings and it was very tiring as well. I couldn't help but think I was going to regret this tomorrow as well but I had to find that map fragment as soon as possible.

The sun set on the first day of my expedition and I decided to sleep under a tree that was growing inside the temple I would destroy tomorrow. The next morning I awoke to sore arms.

"Uh huh…" I whined. "Why are my muscles so sore all of a sudden?"

I tried to ignore the soreness as I have in the past and continued to destroy the giant temples of solid granite. By the early evening I had managed to locate what I came for.

"I FOUND IT!" I exclaimed. "Mark! Mark, I found it!"

"Really? Hey, good job Gamila!" he encouraged. I opened the chest which was labeled accordingly. My scouter's internal CPU had translated the Mayan hieroglyphs as such. Inside was a stone tablet.

"It's made of rock?" I stated curiously.

"Wow. The Mayans must've been more intelligent than  what I gave them credit for! Heh, it would make sense that a stone tablet would be better preserved than any form of paper or leather."

"Well, that's one down, where are the other tablets?" I asked Mark wanting to get things moving again as quickly as possible.

The next two fragments of the map were found in Calakmul to the north and Tikal to the east. The last remaining city where the final fragment of the map would be found in the legendary city of Palenque. By now, my considerably dense chest, superbly thick arms, and incredibly massive shoulders were receiving a pretty good pump from all the lifting and destroying I was causing. It struck me that now that I have become super-human, that only a super human workout would be of any use to me.

I suppose that if I wanted to build larger, stronger muscles later on in the future I could always travel to a site where megalithic structures were and pump up some of those rocks, but breaking them with my bare-hands would have to do for now.

I've read about Palenque from various sources of history before. Whether it was history class or a TV documentary, they all basically said the same thing: that the city of Palenque was shrouded in mystery. And just like the last three cities I've visited all across the scorching jungles of Mexico, this city was constructed from giant blocks of 2-ton granite.

"Ready for another workout, Gamila?" Mark laughed finally coming to terms that this was the fastest route to the maps fragments.

"You know I'm always up for a good pump!" I playfully retorted. Thank God I still had this communicator to keep in touch with Mark. If I didn't, this would be a much more lonely mission.

Another few hours of destruction later and the map had finally become complete. My biceps pulsated with blood from the exertion. I was panting for breath and sweating profusely as I broke open the final chest containing my prize. The dust was turning into dirt on my skin as it mixed with the moisture of the air and especially my skin.

I whipped my forehead of the muddy dirt and breathed in a great breath of dingy jungle air as I lifted the last fragment. I put it together with the other three pieces and a peculiar thing happened. The four fragments jumped together and were attached as if they were magnets. I tried to pull them apart, but couldn't without risk of breaking them.

"You saw that, right Mark?" I asked him a little nervously.

"Yea. Definitely alien tech." he responded reservedly.

"Well? What does the map say? I can't understand it…"

"Already way ahead of you. Preliminary scans show the city of El Dorado is actually not where the CIA thinks it is." He explained excitedly.

"Really? Then what made them look in Ecuador in the first place?"

"I may have planted a false lead in their network." Mark said mischievously.

"Haha! I should have known. Ok so I'm guessing El Dorado is…" I said holding the last word waiting for Mark to chime in with the answer.

"…in Peru!" Mark added finally.

Late September 2012 (20)
Macchu Picchu, Peru

I woke up one morning many days of travel later in the heart of Peru. Over the past month I've also noticed that it's been getting more and more difficult to reach places on my body that I could reach easily before. I must be getting more muscular, but without a decent mirror to look into, I couldn't be sure. I've survived the last month purely on fruits from the jungle and animals I've killed with a single squeeze of my super strength. The faster animals required me to exert my super speed a little, but it wasn't anything that caused my leg muscles to be sore like super speeding for a week did.

Further research and studies of the map indicated that the skull would be found in the Temple of the Sun at the peak of the mountains of Peru. All things considered, the hunt for this skull allowed me to understand why it was one of the skulls that have not been found…until now that is!

"I have the skull, Mark!" I told him with glee. "That means that we have, what? Seven skulls?! This is great! We're more than half-way done!"

"That's great! The next one's pretty close by too. It's in the Amazon Rainforest. A small tribe of aboriginals seem to have taken it because the location of the village isn't on any modern maps available to the public. They must've found it a long time ago and worship it now. Be careful. I don't like the looks of things…" Mark cautioned.

Late September, 2012 (20)
Amazon Rain Forest

So now we've finally made it back to that dreadful night. The moon was full, bright and soothing above me. It hung in the sky like a large, round loaf of bread almost as if I could smell the aroma of freshly baked goods wafted up from the oven exciting every last one of my senses. The air was humid and warm on my skin. Every inch of my body was warm, soft and glistening with sweat from the hot summer night. The chirps, hisses and shrieks of the forest were rhythmic and mesmerizing. Every creature communicating in an almost musical fashion, depending on each other for their survival or perhaps even their next meal as they all worked together and made up the web of life.

'Nothing could ruin this night for me!' I thought, 'I am at peace and one with nature…' but then the natives introduced me to their traditional greeting methods.

I found myself ducking and dodging all sorts of strange darts and arrows as I weaved through the thick trees, shrubbery and fauna that made up the Amazon Rain Forest. I couldn't run at supersonic speeds because not 15 minutes ago, some strange aboriginal peoples here "invited" me over to their little village for dinner and messed with my chi or something. I say "invited" in quotes because they, more or less, took me there against my will, but as a goddess! I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty cool being worshipped like that, but Mark wouldn't have me stay there too long. So, that night I got up from my little hammock they made for me, surprised at first that it actually held my weight (they sure don't make things like this back home), and bolted for the shrine where they kept what I came here for in the first place. Before I could get away with it, basically as soon as I picked it up, this weird ninja lady or something, popped up from the floor, dropped me (which is saying something) and made a bunch of quick jabs at these weird places on my body; nothing vital or effective for causing pain though. At first I thought she missed her targets; that out of 8 or so punches not one hurt me. But then I thought that maybe they were supposed to hurt and that I was just so muscular and dense that it didn't really affect me!

Anyways, after that ninja lady had punched me, I tried to get up and started to run. When I didn't get to the hay-mesh door in 0.0025 seconds I slowed down a bit and my heart began to pound a bit faster. I shook my head hoping that would clear my mind of whatever and started running again. A few steps further and then it hit me. I turned around and saw that ninja chick standing there, only her eyes visible and man were those eyes fierce! She signaled the village and you can bet your money I started to run for dear life. I haven't run that slow since I first got that growth spurt!

Now we're back to where we were before – me here in the Amazon Rain Forest, running from a bunch of savage natives enraged that I took their sacred artifact or totem or whatever you want to call it and running for my life. The screeches from the natives haunted me as it echoed throughout the forest. I was panicking but even still, I heard the sound of running water over the clamor of the forest.

"The Amazon River! I could lose them in that!" I thought aloud to myself and quickly changed trajectories.

I leaped up over the bank and dove into the cool water. It was really refreshing after my run through the forest and I thanked God for a quick rest before the reality of the situation hit me again. I resurfaced and gasped for breath and whipped the water from my eyes only to see the Amazonian warriors throwing spears into the water at me.

Thinking that their metal spearheads wouldn't pierce my iron-hard skin, I merely laughed at their feeble attempt, but was quickly shut down when I felt a sudden searing pain. I looked at my thick shoulder where the spear glazed me and saw a pool of blood diffusing into the freshwater.

"I'm bleeding?!" I gasped in shock.

They shot more spears and I dove into the water. The water depth protected me a little from the spears, but only just. The Amazonian warriors then chased after me and dove into the water with me. I grabbed one of the spears floating in the water near me and used it to stab one of the incoming warriors easily. Thankfully I still had my super strength. Wait! I still had super strength! I don't know why it didn't occur to me until just now, but I don't have to run, I could fight!

I dove down into the depths of the river and found the bottom. I flipped myself around so that my feet were underneath me on the riverbed. I flexed my gargantuan quads and shot up through the water and up into the air. I took advantage of my gymnastic training and performed a triple frontal flip in mid-air as I landed behind them. I leaned onto my left leg as it flexed under the increased weight it had to accommodate for and swept my right leg around on the ground. In my massive right arm, I held the spear I acquired in the river and slashed the unarmored Amazonian warriors with ease.

They turned their attention to me now that they've caught up to where I went and went into a defensive position. They spun their spears in their hands as I did so as well. We circled each other for a while until I stabbed forth with my spear killing one of them. They looked down to their dead commarade and then to me. Trying to enforce my intimidation tactic I flexed into a gargantuan most muscular pose. Muscle exploded from my chest and biceps where there was already a considerable amount. My pectoral muscles swelled up and pushed against my chin as I roared a feral cry. My biceps, already pushing against my chest when relaxed, pushed further and with greater force causing my arms to rise higher than when they were at rest. My forearms of steel pulsated with hot, chorded power against my biceps. Everything about me radiated power.

I suppose my intimidation worked because they began to retreat leaving me with the crystal skull in my hand and that much closer to completing my mission.

As I began to catch my breath, I inspected the spear. It was tipped with a thing green film of a strange and slippery goop. I thrust the spear into a nearby boulder and the thing shattered in half! I looked back at the spear and there was not a single chip or scratch on it!

"Incredible! Mark are you seeing this?!" I asked through the communicator.

"I see it, but I still don't believe it." He said slowly back to me.

"What is this stuff?" I asked aloud but the voice that responded wasn't one that I expected.

"It is a substance known to our people as refined Afloraltite." Said a deep, masculine voice.

"Mark? Is that you?" I asked confused why his voice was so low and commanding.

"Was what me?" he asked just as confused.

I looked around for the source of the sound but found no one. "Show yourself!" I called out. But there was still no response. "The Crystal Skull!" I gasped after a second as I finally realized. "Who are you?" I asked the skull.

"My people call ourselves the Anunaki. We are from the star Epsilon VII. We are a strong and noble race responsible for many advancements in your culture's ancient past." The voice boomed back. "The Babylonians worshiped us as gods. The Egyptians feared us for our power and the Greeks honoured us by looking to us for the ideal a man could achieve." It explained.

"So where did this stuff come from? It definitely didn't come from earth." I asked the Anunaki skull.

"It is true, the refined Afloraltite you hold in your hand is found on only remote planets throughout the galaxy. Earth, however, is no such planet. The Afloraltite you hold came specifically from our home planet." He resonated through the air.

"What? How is that possible?" I asked shocked.

"The Crystal Skulls you seek are not only able to provide one with the knowledge and wisdom of the 13 planets in the council, but also act as a portal to their respective home worlds."

"Amazing. Then the Amazonian warriors must have accidentally accessed the portal and retrieved some Afloraltite that way. But wait, I thought only I could access the skulls." I inquired curiously.

"Only you may speak directly to us. However, any human with a seventh level intellect may access the worm-hole creating effects of the skulls." The voice commanded.

I blinked at it blankly thinking what that could mean. "Well who counts as a seventh level intellect in human standards?"

"There have only ever been three thousand and seventy nine seventh level intellects born to the human race. With the exception of you, only these great minds were able to access the skulls. Out of all of these minds, only seventeen have accessed the skulls before."

"Only seventeen? Geez. Well who were they? Do you know their names?"

"The names of these minds are as follows: King Khufu of Egypt, Archemedes, Socratese, Plato, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Galileo Galilei, Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Sir Isaac Newton, Christopher Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Adolf Hitler, John Fanous and Stephen Hawking."

"Woah, woah, woah wait…you're saying Adolf Hitler is in the same ranks as people like Sir Isaac Newton and Plato?! That guy was absolutely evil! How could he be a genius?!" I said in disbelief until I realized another name that stuck out to me more so than Hitler's did.

"Mental ability is not limited by the moral alignment of the individual and therefo – " the Anunaki started to explain until I interrupted him.

"JOHN FANOUS?! Like, my brother JOHN FANOUS?!" I asked in utter shock.

"Indeed. The very same."

"When did HE access a crystal skull and when?!" I demanded.

"Four years and eleven months ago the one known as John Fanous embarked on an expedition to the South Americas with a local research and development company. His team discovered the crystal skull you now hold in your hand and unwittingly activated it. The Afloraltite was harvested from our planet and taken back to earth for studies. When the substance seemed to cause heart failure, the team abandoned the skull locally where they had set up camp and left the harvested Afloraltite behind as well. The team vowed to never speak of their excursion under the claim that no one would believe them that they travelled to an alien planet." The Anunaki wisdom keeper explained.

"Whaaaaat? And John never told me? Who else do I know can access Crystal Skulls?" I asked anxiously expecting more family members.

"Humans known personally by Gamila Fanous who possess the ability to activate a Crystal Skull are as follows: John Fanous and Amber Rose."

I felt numb. I had forgotten all about her lately. The last time I heard anything about her was back in the middle of the summer. What could she have done in the months since then? Did she go back to Lee? She obviously didn't access a Crystal Skull yet, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know about them. ARG! Why did this wisdom guardian have to remind me about her? And now of all times when I just have 2 more skulls to find and 2 to take back from the CIA.

Deciding that I should just ignore it for now and take things one step at a time, I contacted Mark once again. "Mark, I'm done talking to the Anunaki. Where's the next skull?"

"Heh, oh you're going to enjoy this one, Gamila. It's in the lost city of Atlantis, at the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle!" he said clearly enjoying himself a little.
Originally the first section of this part of the story (the excursion into "Mehicko") took up 8 pages. It was simply too long and filled with too much filler. I originally planned a sort of "Indianna Jones" type part to the story there, but there are only so many traps that can pose as a threat to a super-humanly strong and super-humanly fast woman of incredible power haha XD

So anyways, I cut it short. Now it only takes up 5 pages or so. I just wanted to get back into the good stuff ASAP. The conclusion is coming up soon! :D It's in sight! ^.^

At least to me it is. You guys still don't know where this is going....or DO you?! O.o

Anyways, ENJOY THIS NEXT EXITING INSTALLMENT TO THE LEGEND OF THE BEAUTIFUL GAMILA!! ^.^

Cheers ;D
